i don't particularly like labels. i don't think they can tell that much about a person. with that said there are a few that i am about to use to describe myself. i don't hide behind these things, i stand before them. i am vegan, straight-edge (not in the "scene" sense of the word. i don't smoke, drink, use drugs and i have reasons for each of them), and virgin (because i want to wait for my life partner. i have debated sharing this bit of info, but since i'm not embarassed by it and i feel it has been an important choice it stays). i don't consider myself to be "radical" though there are many things i feel are important in this world and i would make great personal sacrifices to foster the kinds of changes i feel need to be made. i don't own a car. i can get anywhere on my bike (biked across the country... literally). i play saxophone, create art in all kinds of ways though i especially love welding and working with metal. animal rights is especially important to my life. i guess i'll just add that i absolutely love life, smiling, taking risks and adventures, especially the ones that frighten me, dancing alone with my headphones on, sitting on my roof at night philosophizing, and trying to get to know and empathize with as many different people as possible. i'm also keen on traveling. my "current location" has been somewhat transient lately.

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
i would love to find someone who could relate to my personal choices in life. for all the time i spend trying to understand and empathize with others around me it would be a dream to share some words with another person who shared some basic things in common with me and that i don't feel slightly alienated by. i don't pass judgments on people. i understand that we all lead different lives and thus make different choices. also, i'm idealistic by nature. it would be nice to talk to some more idealists like myself who struggle to make real, and practical solutions for the problems they face.

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
i feel i'm already committed to this phantom of a woman. i dont know who she is or where she is, but somehow i know i'm in love with her. at this point in my life i'm certainly ready, and always will be ready, to make friends with new people, but i'm also ready to find someone i could spend the rest of my life with.
