Tell about yourself - your personality, lifestyle, etc.
Quirky, creative vegan...do massage for a living but am also a great cook, and am exploring culinary training for the future. I walk every day, like to hike and get out in nature as much as possible. Living in San Diego allows you to do all workouts outside, yay!

I'm also an artist--I do funky folk-art style portraits, and recently was part of a group show. I'm silly, funny, smart and happy to meet guys who are very fit and fun. : )

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
Well ideally I'm looking for a vegan or vegetarian--would be awesome to find a friend/mate with the same world outlook and values. And fitness is very important, I want a smart, thoughtful guy who takes great care of himself (with a great toned body), and has energy galore to play with me. Must love animals, camping, hiking...

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
Ultimately I'd like to find a long-term partner. For now I'll be happy to meet like-minded souls for play and great conversation, and see where that may take us.

I sometimes fantasize about living with a cool partner/best friend...cooking together, playing together...making each other's life better with our companionship and loving energy, as cheesy as that may sound...

What made you choose Vegetarianism as a way of life? What impact has it had on your life?
I've been vegetarian since about 16 years old, and vegan for almost 2 years now. I can't agree that animals were put here for humans to torture and kill. rather I believe that we must make every effort to protect them, revere them and even learn from them. And don't get me started on how animal agriculture is brutal, and is killing our planet, ugh...

What is your favorite Vegetarian food?
I'm a great cook, so make yummy vegan food daily. last night I made vegan lasagna, I think this is my latest fave. : )

Would you like to share a great (easy) Vegetarian recipe?
I have many, though most I get straight from vegweb.com. But I'm happy to share my favorite recipe links, for sure!

Do you follow any other healthy lifestyles (yoga, etc.)?
I'm trying out pilates, and have dabbled in yoga over the years. I meditate daily and live a streamlined, green and happy life.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
Big fan of old films like Double Indemnity, love the Coen Borthers films and anything smart and funny. My favorite film is Dead Man with Johnny Depp--smart, hilarious and full of surprises, with soundtrack by Neil Young.

I admit that I love TV, even though I know that's not very cool. I watch Weeds, 30 Rock, and tons of English dramas on PBS. Also a voracious consumer of nature and history documentaries, so much to learn still!

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I have 1 kitty, Isabella...but would jump at the chance to have a dog. I grew up with dogs and seriously love them all. I also paint dog portraits, it's my homage to their fabulous species.

What would you say is your best virtue?
My sense of humor, and my directness both.

What was the most daring / wild thing you have ever done?
I rode the world's longest zip lines in Costa Rica, it was terrifying at first but incredibly fun!

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
I'm often told that I'm in great shape, though I do know I could do better. I'm 5'11" and about 145 lbs., and keep it together with daily long walks and hikes to Balboa Park. Am getting back on my bike as well, and am going to hit the pool again this week. Swimming does a body good!

While looking at a person’s profile, following the picture, what are the first things you look for?
Well height, typically--I'm really tall so hope to find someone about my height. And then religion--I'm pretty sure that I'm not compatible with most major religions, so that becomes a major filter too. Then I want to know if he has anything to say beyond a generic blurb--tell me what makes you tick, what you long for, why you're here. I love articulate, expressive guys. : )
