I am a very extroverted individual who doesn't get angry very easily. I love being around people and I am largely a clown who often uses myself as the butt-end of a joke to make my friends laugh. I am obsessed with reddit and

I am currently in the process of cutting egg from my diet but I don't want to push too hard lest I fail and revert on my vegetarianism (I've only been fully vegetarian for a year and a half and I've been red-meat-free for only 2 and a half years.)

I am a biology student studying microbiology. I am specifically interested in utilizing bacteria to solve environmental problems. The project I started last year and hope to continue on in grad school involves preventing soil erosion and nutrient runoff and replacing a common chemical soil treatment agent used in agriculture that becomes a nerve toxin over time.

After graduating grad school I hope to work for the EPA, USGS, USDA, FDA, CDC* or other environmental or public health organization. I am also considering the Peace Corps or maybe try for a job with Greenpeace or similar group as an activist if all else fails.

I'm very open to most people. As long as a person isn't a racist, sexist, homophobe, or a bigot of some other sorts I will likely enjoy them.

I am a vegetarian first for environmental reasons. However, I also enjoy the perks of protecting animals and health side effects.

I am not an "Atheist" (with a capital A). I lack any religion. I am areligious, a secularist, a humanist, or a skeptic. I would even be fine with "atheist" with a lower a. I am not however agnostic as I do not question a god's existence, I simply see no necessity for one.

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
I really don't know. I'm in Houston for the summer and don't know anybody. So rather than spend the summer sitting in playing games with friends via skype and browsing the internet. I must get out.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I have a hedgehog named Gerry. He is the cutest thing ever. I catch alot of flak because I feed him a omnivorous diet, however he has evolved that way and it is diet essential. If he does not eat insects he gets very sick. He specifically needs the chitin that makes up their ecoskeleton so there are no plants that he can get this.

What would you say is your best virtue?
Patience I guess. I am very difficult to anger unless you are openly bigoted (my exception). I'm not really sure.

If you were on a deserted island, and you could choose 3 items to take, what would they be?
A motorboat, gasoline, and oars.

I would build a house out of the wood from the boat, burn the gasoline to make a signal to passing planes and ships, and shape the boat oars into spears to protect myself from wild animals.

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
I am in okay shape. I try to go 3+ times a week for 1-1.5 average, sometimes as much as 2 hours. I of course eat healthy but I can't seem to shed my weight. I'm suspicious I consume too many carbs and too many high fat legumes (i.e. chickpeas*) but I haven't done a diet log in awhile and I am way out of habit.

While looking at a person’s profile, following the picture, what are the first things you look for?
Their religion and what kind of person they are interested in. I assume on here that they are vegetarian. Being secular is a huge perk, but not required. I wouldn't want to get interested in somebody only to find out they are only interested in a guy who looks like a model.
