I love animals, nature, the ocean and Hawaii. One of my passions is cooking; mostly ethnic vegan cuisine from scratch. And I do a mean veggie barbecue. (I almost opened a restaurant, once.) Other passions include writing, learning, teaching and, most of all, spending lot's of wonderful time with a loving female companion.



What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
I'm hoping - in fact, longing - to meet someone who's both compassionate and passionate. A woman who's intelligent, attractive, down to earth, sensual, sexy, loves to laugh, and is open minded. Someone who understands that being best friends, communicating, and being supportive and nurturing are vital to a strong relationship, too.


I'm an animal lover and love being around them. Especially cats, as my User Name attests. It's a play on words that also means I'm very much like one in many ways: Devoted to one special person, curious, sensual, playful, and a bit on the mischievous side.

I'd love for her to be someone that I can learn from, enjoy and respect, as well. Someone who'll appreciate my sensibilities, and humor as much as I'll appreciate hers. What made you choose Vegetarianism as a way of life? What impact has it had on your life?
I love animals and couldn't stand the idea of eating them. I also enjoy the health benefits of it and the wonderful array of ethnic foods to choose from (and cook). It's also kept me looking much younger than I am.

What is your favorite Vegetarian food?
Tofu, when it's cooked right. Chips and salsa. My homemade hummus. Asian cuisines.

Would you like to share a great (easy) Vegetarian recipe?
Later. I have some good ones like my roasted red pepper hummus, my Caribbean black bean soup with rum and orange or my savory mesquite grilled veggie chile.

Do you follow any other healthy lifestyles (yoga, etc.)?
Positive outlook. Constantly trying to be a better person. Zen-like approach to life.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
I'm into jazz, bossa nova, electronic, and world music. Most rock bores me. (Don't even get me started on rap and hip hop.) When it comes to movies, I prefer classic, foreign, and independent films, as well as documentaries. I also prefer renting them to watch at home with someone special to cuddle up with.

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
Currently, I'm a Writer / Producer / Photographer. I love creative pursuits and learning new skills. I'm planning on starting a culinary tour company in Hawaii, in 2011.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
Cooking ethnic vegan cuisine from scratch. I also love trying new places to eat. I'm into checking out unique shops, especially for collectibles, home furnishings, and ethnic food stores. I prefer clubs that aren't too loud to talk in, plus Jazz & eclectic music venues. I love outdoor activities like bike riding, hiking, and being at the beach. Spending time in Hawaii is also high on my list.

I'm a military brat and grew up all over the country, with a stint in Germany.

Ok, despite life's frequent letdowns, I remain an optimist. I'm also very loyal, hard working, creative, and perseverant.

That's private. At least I hope it was.

Eating meat.

The girl I love, lots of tofu, and our companion animals.

Ben Franklin, Ghandi, and Marilyn Monroe, just to watch Ben trying to pick up on her, while Ghandi and I chat and laugh.

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
I'm in good physical shape. I like outdoor activities that provide lots of exercise. This makes up for all the hours I spend at my computer processing video & photos, and writing.

While looking at a person’s profile, following the picture, what are the first things you look for?
I look to see tall how she is and if she has kids. Then I read her description of herself to see how well she conveys it. Does she sound like an intelligent, down to earth, and classy woman? After that, I look to see what kind of man she's searching for. Is she looking for genuine love or just looking for someone to provide her with a lavish lifestyle? Finally, I click on the rest of her pictures to get a better look at her, since most of the time the first one doesn't tell the true story.

What else should we know about you?
You'll discover that I'm fun to be with and can be quite funny. I'm also extremely creative, very loyal, loving, and sensuous. Definitely not your average Joe. I've traveled extensively around the world and enjoy other cultures and ways of looking at things.
