Tell about yourself - your personality, lifestyle, etc.
I'm flexible politically and my views tend to be parts Progressive, Libertarian, and Liberal. I'm Atheist but not fundamentalist. Fundamentalism actually frightens me a bit. I've been described as being "feisty" and have a wicked sense of humor.

I play xbox 360 like an ADDICT when I have time off from work and it's rainy and miserable outside. I enjoy vegetating, spending time with my friends, outdoors stuff, photography, reading anything and everything, and spending great chunks of time playing with the pooch. I'm an amateur gardener and find the whole act of it meditative.

I'm interested in postmodern philosophy, ethics, social critique, and social class theories. I dabble in photography enough to be decent but nothing close to professional status. I write a bit and enjoy reading lots of different genres.

I'm also in to art, music, history, environmental issues, and I love to travel. I like to learn about new things and tend to get bored easily so am always searching out new hobbies.

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
Intelligence, interest in learning new things, and a sense of humor are at the top of the list. I'm independent and require "me" time, so I'd like to meet an equally independent person.

What made you choose Vegetarianism as a way of life? What impact has it had on your life?
Any other way of life does not seem ethical or logical to me.

What is your favorite Vegetarian food?
Fruit. I could eat fruit all day, especially fresh berries and mangoes--YUM.

Would you like to share a great (easy) Vegetarian recipe?
Marinate extra-firm tofu in the juice of 1 lemon, fresh dill, couple dashes of mustard, and some olive oil. I bake it in strips, stick it in the fridge, and use it on salads or heat it up with some veg for dinner.

Do you follow any other healthy lifestyles (yoga, etc.)?
I try to eat as much organic as possible. Also dabble at amateur gardening to have my own fresh supply of veg and herbs. I try not to eat anything that has HFCS or ingredients I can't pronounce. I don't use any beauty products that have been tested on animals, buy only natural or organic beauty products, and have started making some of my own stuff at home.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
Favorite movies would include Office Space, Dumb and Dumber, Metropolis, Team America, Happy Gilmore, Pootie Tang, and mindless action, comedies, and kung fu. I love a really good horror flick that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention.

My favorite authors include Jim Harrison, Hunter Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, and Philip K. Dick. Among the books that always travel with me are Wuthering Heights, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Warlock. I love being introduced to new writers and books and tend to read more than one book at a time.

I'm a punk rock girl but will listen to almost anything and everything but country music. Favorite bands include Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, Arctic Monkeys, and Doves. Also love 80s stuff like Psychedelic Furs, Depeche Mode, and Smiths.

I don't watch a lot of TV since I don't have cable and most of the stuff that's on seems to suck. But I do like 30 Rock, Bones, Family Guy, and Criminal Minds. Favorite DVD series (remember I don't get cable so I have to be patient): Weeds, South Park, and True Blood.

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
I currently work in treatment foster care as a treatment coordinator and therapist. I plan to return to grad school in a year for a PhD in Sociology or Social Work. I enjoy research and the academic world more than frontline sometimes, but overall enjoy my job and get a lot out of it.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
I could spend hours in a good bookstore or walking around a gallery. I enjoy listening to music in small, intimate settings. Anything I'm doing that isn't work I usually find fun--or a way to make it fun. I hate being bored so try not to allow myself to ever get to that place.

What do you hate doing?
Cleaning.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I have a dog named Jack I adopted from a shelter in June 2009 when he was a year old. He's most likely a rat terrier mix, but I could care less. He's 25 lbs of wicked, furry fun.

A gun so I would not have to wait to die of boredom.

Fairly average. I do some yoga but spend a lot of time outside.
