Tell about yourself - your personality, lifestyle, etc.
I indulge my creative urges professionally, leaving my leisure time to hiking, biking, gardening, travel, exploring, etc. I'm easygoing, like both funny and serious conversation, and am often fairly quiet. I appreciate differences among people, and welcome that in personal relationships. You know those people who believe that every day's a gift? I'm one of those, and I think that complacency and lack of appreciation are pretty dreadful traits.

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
Someone with the great qualities: kindness, integrity, loyalty, and maybe even some humor. Someone who looks out for herself, but also appreciates my being there to back her up.

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
Friendship is enough to ask for; more than that is wonderful if it's meant to be. Listing all of the positive attributes is not an exercise for me, because I like to let things unfold along the way - to let serendipity take its place without competing with any agenda or preconceptions.

What made you choose Vegetarianism as a way of life? What impact has it had on your life?
Like many of us, I had concerns related to health and to the cruelties of factory farming.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
Music: Beatles, Duke Ellington, Peggy Lee / Movies: Cinema Paradiso, Shawshank Redemption, Double Indemnity / TV: Rockford Files, Monk / Books: Biographies, Steinbeck, McCullough histories

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
I'm an architect consulting to cities on urban design. I also produce a Photoshop-based art product line. Both of these activities are very enjoyable to me. I've pursued approaches that are unique, in a quest to maximize my contribution.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
I'm a big dog person, getting over the loss of two wonderful mutts. Hiking is still great, even without them. Every day I also enjoy riding my road bike, putting miles on it since buying it new when I was 22. Photoshop is a wonderful world i enjoy daily, and would do it for fun if it weren't for my business depending on it. Travel is also fun for me.

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
I grew up in southern California and moved to Seattle for several years after college. The return to southern California followed the realization that drizzle gets oppressive after several years, and that the varied landscapes down here, with hundreds of tree species, are more uplifting than the Northwest's cloak of a couple dozen.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
Dogs are the greatest, but I don't have any at this time. It's time to rejoin them, though - to take in their noble spiritual purity.

Your ultimate intimate dinner party would include which 3 guests (dead or alive)?
Duke Ellington (especially if there's a piano in the room), John Adams, and Gary Larson. I'd like to see what those three geniuses would find in common!
