Tell about yourself - your personality, lifestyle, etc.
Well, i have been having a very hard time finding someone who shares my ideals... although i am not an overbearing militant vegan (I generally don't broadcast it unless someone asks) I would like to find a partner that does not contribute to the meat industry (fish included). As for myself I have been an on again off again vegetarian for about 5 years, vegan for the first 2, with 2 seven month stints of omnivore (eek!). I started the vegetarian diet again about 6 months ago and have been vegan for the last 2, and do not plan on looking back. I simply can not continue to overlook the facts any longer.

Now that that's out of the way... I am a biology major at UCF (took 4 years off after high school, started UCF at 22) minoring in environmental studies. I would like to eventually end up in conservation biology, and may stay at UCF for my Masters in cons. bio. I spend my free time camping, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, etc. I love to cook, and enjoy cooking for others (neighborhood friends included, have potlucks at each others houses every few weeks).

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
I would really like to meet a girl that is into mountain biking, hiking, and camping as much as I am, though that is not necessary, would just be a great added bonus. Also, I'd like to meet a vegetarian or vegan. Silly is a plus, cause i'm all sorts of goofy. I like snugglers and late night movie partners, too :)

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
Mehh, not too sure, really. I am definitely not against getting into anything serious, but that kinda thing has to be felt out rather than searched for, in my opinion.

What made you choose Vegetarianism as a way of life? What impact has it had on your life?
Meat industry is totally unsustainable. It is more for that reason than for animal rights (although that is also a big part of it). The impact that our appetite has had and will have on this planet is irreversible. I am using my purchasing power as a consumer to not hand over my money to profit a corrupt and reckless industry.

What is your favorite Vegetarian food?
Probably Indian, but I'm not very picky.

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
I work in the dispersal ecology lab at ucf, and i like it a lot! I'm a lab tech right now, which pretty much makes me the scientists' bitch, but they're all great people and I enjoy helping them with their research.

What do you hate doing?
Considering i should be studying right now, I'd have to say that i hate studying...

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
Grew up right outside of Ft. Lauderdale and it was way to scummy for me. I escaped.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I got a stray cat named grandpa that i have been taking care of for the last few months. He is a cutey patootie sweetie pie. Tooootal lap kitty, and it's obvious he loves me as much as i love him! :)

What was the most daring / wild thing you have ever done?
A friend of mine told me that he saw me riding a stolen bike at 4 am around our neighborhood... naked... I do not remember doing this whatsoever, so it may not be true, but at the time the house i was living in was party central, so it is definitely possible. Oh, to be young again....

What terrifies you?
Dishonesty.
